Brian Jerlin was first introduced to Wing Chun in 2003. Right from the beginning, he knew he had discovered a martial arts style that fit his personality. In 2011, Brian was recommended by Josh Shaw to train in China under Sifu Duncan Leung. During this experience, Brian refined his kung fu by participating in a vigorous training regimen; meanwhile obtaining a deeper understanding of Wing Chun’s fighting philosophy. In addition, he began to gain valuable knowledge of teaching Wing Chun. Upon returning to Virginia Beach, Brian eagerly volunteered to assist Sifu Leung in training international students on a regular basis. During this time, Sifu Duncan Leung further developed Brian’s ability to instruct the essential components of Applied Wing Chun.
In late 2014, Brian began teaching Applied Wing Chun. He states, “My doors are open to those that wish to work hard and learn. I teach as I was taught and wish to live up to the standard set by SiFu Leung and the rest of the Applied Wing Chun Family.”
